Academic Project – Developed in response to a brief exploring the concept of “The End,”
"It Hurts Both Ways" is a two-in-one book that tells the story of a breakup from both
partners’ perspectives. Inspired by the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind",
the publication captures the emotional fragmentation and parallel memories that define
the end of a relationship.
The denim cover material draws a symbolic connection between love and fabric—durable,
transformative, and marked by time. Complementing the book is a set of fictional cards
from a memory-erasing clinic, forming a multiformat object that blurs reality and
fiction. The project responds to the challenge of communicating, questioning, and
reimagining what it means to reach an end.
